Poster Creative is the pseudonym of John Park, a digital graphic artist producing an eclectic range of graphic poster prints, cards and homewares, all celebrating his love of landscapes, travel, transport and architecture.

Originally from the north east of England, John has been part of the creative industry for over 30 years, working for agencies in London, Glasgow & Edinburgh on campaigns for clients such as M&S, Ford and Nestlé. Now living in Dunfermline, John has turned his design skills and passion into creating original travel, and architecture-themed art from his home studio.

John’s love of travel art stems from his admiration of the classic railway advertiisng posters of the 20th century. Influenced by those timeless designs, his passion of graphic design, of bold shapes, colours, and sometimes by quirky subject matter, John uses his own references to produce each design digitally, using his own graphic interpretation to produce the final artwork.

After spending many hours refining the designs, he applies them to a range of high-quality, locally and ethically sourced products, including giclée prints, tea towels, cards and postcards. John sells his creations via his website and on Etsy, through a number of hand-picked independent retailers in Fife and Lothians, and occasionally in local makers markets.

Recently, John’s artwork caught the attention of LNER, who commissioned him to produce a series of large-format designs which now adorn the walls of LNER’s HQ in York and also a handful of advertising locations in Scotland and the north of England. For John, being commissioned by the company that produced those classic posters he’s admired for so long was a wonderful full-circle moment!
