Matthew Cox Ceramics
Matthew lives and works from a small studio in rural Angus, Scotland.
The natural beauty of the area and its open views have influenced his ceramics and helped created a calm studio practice that is embedded in nature. Working mainly in stoneware, Matthew designs and makes wheel thrown pieces, where form is as important as the glaze, and the quiet style of each piece can show through.
Using muted tones and calm whites, his designs are minimal, restrained and made for everyday life.
