Grazyna Adrian Ceramics is a studio creating energetic, dynamic, organic ceramic work which creates a sense of joy and relation in those who engage with it. Meant to be handled, touched, these tactile pieces are friendly and a joy to use.

The earthenware work takes inspiration from traditional slipware, the contrast of terracotta and white slip and approaching both with a playful touch. Slip, splashing and pouring and teasing onto pots, allowing it to go where it wants.

The stoneware work has been exploring atmospheric firing methods, predominantly wood and soda. The chance and serendipity afforded by atmospheric firings are elements which elevate pieces. These reflect the impulse for the materials to be able to show their innate qualities and compliment the looser and more playful approach to form making and slip decoration.
