Caitlin Sparks Textiles offers bold kitchen textiles as well as original screen prints inspired by the East Neuk of Fife where she spent time growing up. Using imagery from around the harbours she successfully conveys the area’s charm through colour and pattern.

Designs begin from a walk along the coastal path through the village’s harbours and beaches. Old worn boats and bright buoys are looked at for inspiration. Through the process of drawing using a wide range of media she records different surface marks and textures. They then are developed through collage, screen printing and finally photoshop. This allows the designs to communicate a sense of place and narrative.

Screen prints are produced from Caitlin’s small home studio in Dundee, while textile designs are digitally printed and brought to life by a family run business in the UK known for their high quality manufacturing. The most sustainable options have been chosen to ensure that products have as little impact on the environment as possible. Eco friendly inks are used and all textiles are made using 100% unbleached organic cotton. The end result is bold sustainable designs for the home!
